| 1st class degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Computer Science/ Metallurgy / Metallurgical and Materials/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering (4 years full time) from a recognized University/ Institute, approved by AICTE/ UGC with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate for NRL Recruitment 2021. |
Upper Age Limit: Upper age limit (as of 01.07.2021) 30 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 (Five) years for ST & SC, 3 (Three) years for OBC (NCL), 10 years for PwBD (UR), 13 years for PwBD (OBC-NCL), & 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST) applicants against reserved posts for NRL Recruitment 2021.
Application Fees: General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- (per post). A fee collected will be refunded back to candidates if they appear for the CBT. SC, ST & PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee for NRL Recruitment 2021.

// Method of Selection for NRL Recruitment 2021 //
- The selection process shall consist of Computer-Based Tests and Personal Interviews or/and Group tasks of the shortlisted candidates.
- All the candidates claiming to fulfill all the eligibility criteria will be called for Computer Based Test without verifying their eligibility.
- Computer Based Test will be of objective type questions with no negative marking and will comprise of 4 sections:
- A-Section: Technical/ Professional Knowledge comprising of questions related to Qualifying Degree of Applicants.
- B-Section: General Knowledge/ Current Affairs
- C-Section: English language
- D-Section: Reasoning & Numerical Ability 80% of questions will be from Section A.
- Candidates qualifying in the Computer Based Test in order of merit will be called for Group Task or/and Personal Interview.
- Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in both the stages i.e. Computer Based Test and Group Task (GT) & Personal Interview (PI) to be considered for the further selection process. Minimum qualifying marks in each stage i.e CBT and (PI+GT) is 50%
- The offer of appointment shall be issued to the suitable qualifying candidates in order of merit and based on the number of vacancies.
- Computer Based Test (85% Weightage)
- Group Task (5% Weightage)
- Personal Interview (10% Weightage)
- Final Score of Applicants- Combined scores of Computer Based Test + Personal Interview + Group Task for NRL Recruitment 2021.
