Assistant Engineer Trainees (Electronics)) : 20 Posts.
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) in Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Electrical Communication / Telecommunication
Engineering from  recognized University/ Institute.

Assistant Engineer Trainees (Civil): 20 Posts.
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) in Civil Engineering from recognized University/ Institute.

Assistant Engineer Trainees (Computer Science): 10 Posts.
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) in Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Technology from recognized University/ Institute.

Selection Process:

For calculation of final score of a candidate qualified in interview for empanelment, the weightages of marks obtained in GATE, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:

  • GATE 2017 Marks (out of 100) =>  85%
  • Group Discussion                       =>  3%
  • Personal Interview                      =>  12%
  • Total                                            =>  100%
Important dates:
  • Commencement of Online Submission of Application to POWERGRID and online payment of application fee: 27.01.2018 (10:00 Hrs)
  • Last Date of receipt of online application and online payment of application fee: 17.02.2018 (23:59 Hrs)
  • Cutoff date for Eligibility criteria: 31.12.2016
